A note about our centre:

While just about anyone may offer music lessons for you or your child, Whyte Ridge Music Academy offers a learning environment that goes beyond regular lessons. Many music schools simply rent out studio space to musicians who would like to teach. Although there is nothing wrong with this type of program, we feel that we go a step further by offering you or your child a musical education that involve professional instructors "hand-picked" by our Education Coordinator. All of our instructors are highly qualified, contracted individuals, most with a university degree, or attaining their university degree. Not only do we hire the best possible instructors, we also administer our music programs and curriculum to ensure that the students are getting the most out of their instruction. These measures ensure that you or your child are provided with quality instruction at a consistent level year after year, regardless of what instrument you choose or which instructor is teaching.

Group Lessons

Guitar:

Group Guitar ages 7 and up

Our group guitar program was developed to beginner guitar students succeed at learning to play guitar in a fun and interactive group environment

Our group guitar students love coming to class every week and learn at an accelerated rate as a result of the motivation that a classroom environment invites.

Piano:

Piano Junction Program for ages 4-7

Piano Junction is agraded pop music course that incorporates performance, ear training, and improvisation on the keyboard without giving up learning to read music.

Our young beginners are highly successful in this program as it is fun, interactive, they make friends, and they are motivated by a group learning environment.

Piano Junction also incorporates other music elements such as singing, games, composition, and percussion.

Parents are asked to attend each lesson and are involved in every facet of their child's musical learning. This helps ensure your child's continual success.

Classes commence in September and January.

These graded courses are exclusive to Whyte Ridge Music Centre, recognized in twelve countries, and can be used as an entrance requirement for some universities including Humber and McGill. Our teachers have been personally trained by the inventor of the program! Come in and view a class in session.

Special Programs

Rock Shop:

Every child dreams of playing in a rock band we help make

these dreams a reality through our Rock Shop student incentive program.

Rock Shop allows students play along side professionally experienced instructorss with students who are equally as enthusiastic about music and who are at their same age and ability level.

Our Rock Shop student will learn how to play a wide variety of genres of music as well as learn how to write original music together as a band.

-Students are also given the opportunity to perform in front of a

live audience on numerous occasion, take recording lessons as part of the program, and, of course, record their music in our professional recording studio.
